  2. Why must we lose the ones who are gifted and talented?

All we can do is to be thankful and feel privileged that they shared those gifts with all of us.

    1. Bronx, good people die too soon and rotten people seem to live forever.

    1. Susie, I agree. Lauren Bacall nursed Bogart through his cancer and eventual death and Lord knows all the trials Robin Williams endured throughout his life.

  4. Meet Lauren Bacall once in Memphis. Let me rephrase that I was walking through the historic neighborhood that I lived in and I happened upon a great commotion. Those traveling vans and lots of catering and lots of people. What could this be? Gregory Peck and Lauren Bacall shooting a movie.

So so so sad about Robin Williams.

I am fostering a pup, Gizmo. Professor not too happy with him. Professor says, "Mummie, when will he be leaving." Hahahaha--

It is beginning to look like never.

He is a sweet pup. His pick is up on my blogspot. Yep, I had to open it up again. Gizmo's story.

    1. Stormy, now I'm curious to look up what movie Lauren Bacall and Gregory Peck did together. I might even want to get the DVD and watch it.

I'm glad your blog is back. :-)

    1. Stormy, Raleigh is a nicer place than Memphis. I've spent a little time there before.

    1. RoryB, I agree. And these terrible things tend to come in threes, so now I'm worried who might go next.

    1. Theresa, it seems like everyone who ever encountered him has something nice to say about him. Not everyone can say as much. Making people laugh is a powerful thing.

    1. Jules, he's done so many movies, I had no idea how many! And he did a lot more serious work than I realized, too. But yeah, he was so, so funny!

    1. Stormy, wow, I had never even heard of this movie. It has all 5-star ratings on Amazon and is expensive. I'm ordering it. Thanks for telling me about it!

  10. I never got to watch it. But I was walking in the neighborhood and happened upon two stars and the movie being filmed. Let me know how it is the movie.
